The most exhilarating yet challenging aspect of my role as a Costume Designer was creating authentic looks for the cast across three distinct time periods: the 1970s, 1990s, and early 2000s, all while capturing the essence of Italy in each era.

The central challenge was creating a cohesive aesthetic-especially for the male cast-while layering women’s looks with structured gowns, rich fabrics, and color stories that signaled status and atmosphere.
Soap Star let me explore the heightened drama of soap operas through satirical, striking costume design. The central joy was creating the prima donna’s extravagant looks-lace, bold jewelry, and a vintage red feather boa-while contrasting her glamour with contemporary styles that amplified her commanding presence.
